About This Policy

Think Pink Connections is a SaaS SMS platform for independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultants. This policy explains how consultants using our platform collect consent from their customers before sending text messages, and describes the rights of message recipients.

Messages are sent by individual consultants to their own customers who have provided contact information and consented to communications. Think Pink Connections provides the technology platform — the consultant is the sender.

How Consent Is Collected

Mary Kay consultants obtain consent from their customers through one of three methods before adding them to their messaging list:

Consultants cannot add contacts to their messaging list without prior consent. Think Pink Connections provides tools to manage opt-out requests and ensure compliance with carrier requirements.

Sample Opt-In Language

Consultants use disclosure language similar to the following when collecting consent:

"By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS text messages from your Mary Kay consultant about product updates, promotions, and follow-up communications. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP."

This language is provided to all consultants as a best-practice template to ensure clear, informed consent is obtained before any messages are sent.

Types of Messages Sent

Messages sent through Think Pink Connections are limited to business communications directly related to a consultant's Mary Kay business, including:

"Hi Sarah! It's Deanna from Mary Kay. Our new spring skincare collection just arrived and I thought of you! Would love to share some samples. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help."

Your Rights as a Message Recipient

As someone who receives SMS messages sent through Think Pink Connections, you have the following rights:

Reply START at any time to re-subscribe if you previously opted out.

How to Opt Out

Opting out is simple. Reply STOP to any message and your request is processed immediately:

Send the word STOP in reply to any text message from a Think Pink Connections consultant.

You'll automatically receive a confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed and will receive no more messages." No further action needed.

Immediate Platform Sync
Your opt-out is marked in the platform database instantly. The consultant cannot send you further messages.

Re-Subscribe Anytime
Changed your mind? Reply START at any time to re-subscribe and resume receiving messages.

You will never receive unsolicited messages from consultants you haven't interacted with directly. Think Pink Connections only connects you with consultants whose services you have specifically engaged with.

Automated Keyword Processing

Think Pink Connections uses Twilio's infrastructure to automatically handle standard SMS keywords without any manual intervention. All keywords are processed instantly:

Keyword detection is case-insensitive and handled at the carrier level by Twilio. Opt-outs are permanent until the recipient actively re-subscribes with START.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by individual consultant and their relationship with their customers. Most consultants send between 2–8 messages per month, typically for product launches, seasonal promotions, birthday greetings, and follow-up communications.

You will never receive unsolicited messages or messages from consultants you haven't had a direct relationship with. Think Pink Connections does not send broadcast or promotional messages on behalf of the company.

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Contact your carrier if you have questions about your plan's messaging charges.
